ABOUT ABCO

Formed early February 1999, the Association of Bermuda Compliance Officers (“ABCO”) is delighted to be the first professional organization of its kind to have been successfully established in Bermuda and the Caribbean. As a body of local compliance professionals, ABCO encourages members to strive to serve their respective organisations, and the Bermuda financial marketplace by seeking to enhance the role of compliance locally, with a view to bolstering public trust in, and better ensuring the integrity of, the expanding Bermuda financial service industry.

An Executive Committee (limited to a maximum of 11 members) that is elected each year at its Annual General Meeting currently governs ABCO.

Goals
ABCO is primarily concerned with raising the profile of the compliance function in Bermuda generally, while seeking to provide members with meaningful opportunities for training, networking, consulting and sharing of timely information necessary for supporting their positive roles as compliance professionals.
